Due to the new Assigned Risk auto insurance program your auto
may be insured by a company that has been assigned by the state.
If this is after hours, you will need to look at your monthly
invoice to obtain the proper phone or website information. If
you need information during business hours you should call our
office or send us an e-mail.
BILLING & PAYMENTS
Each insurance company or finance company sends you an invoice
and a return envelope to make your payment. For timely crediting
of your account mail your payment at least 5 days before the due
date. Payments may be brought to our office if you bring the
invoice.
ACCIDENTS
If you are involved in an auto accident, all companies require
that you complete a “Crash Report” that is provided by the
police department. This “Crash Report” must be completed and
provided to the local police department where the accident
occurred and it must also be provided to the Registry of Motor
Vehicles. Failure to complete this report can delay your claim
payment.
If your vehicle is a total loss you must provide your title to
the insurance company to complete the claim. If your car is
declared a total loss you will never be paid more than you paid
to purchase it. Buying a new battery or tires does not increase
the car’s value.
If you have a loan on your auto or your home you need to contact
the lender directly to find out how they process claim checks.
